WHAT IS SCRAP GOLD?

Scrap gold is the term used for broken jewellery, (unwanted-and–broken-jewellery), coins (/sell-gold-coins) and other items that are old, unfashionable or unwanted. Selling your scrap gold turns your unwanted items into cash.

WHEN IS THE BEST DAY TO SELL MY GOLD?

The price fluctuates every second. It increases and decreases constantly but over the last few years it has risen. When you would like to sell would be up to you. It is important to note that the price offered for your items will be lower than the current gold market price as there is a significant process involved in smelting and recycling your items back into raw materials.

WHAT ITEMS ARE OF VALUE?

Anything gold/silver/platinum, broken jewellery, coins, watches, dental gold, will all be of value.

WHAT ARE YOUR OPENING TIMES?

We are open Monday – Friday  10am-4pm.  We do not open weekends or bank holidays.

DO YOU CLOSE FOR LUNCH?

We do not close for lunch.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SELL MY GOLD?

The process only takes a few minutes unless you have lots of small bits to test that must be checked individually.

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT TO SELL GOLD?

No appointment is needed to visit us.  We are available for walk-ins during our opening hours which are  Mon-Fri 10am-4pm

DO I NEED AN ID WHEN SELLING?

Yes! One photo ID proof required either a driving license or a passport

DO YOU BUY MIXED GOLD?

Yes! We buy all carats of gold i.e 8ct, 9ct, 10ct, 14ct, 15ct, 18ct, 19ct, 21ct, 22ct etc.

IS THERE A CASH LIMIT WHEN I SELL GOLD?

There is no limit on how much you can sell for cash.

IS THERE ANY EXTRA COST WHEN SELLING?

We pay you the full amount offered with no hidden buying charges.

HOW IS PAYMENT MADE?

We can pay cash or by Bank transfer

HOW LONG DOES A BANK TRANSFER TAKE?

Depending on the bank our process is immediate although online banking says it can take up to 2hrs.

IS THERE A PRICE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YELLOW AND WHITE GOLD?

No! there is no difference. The carat or purity determines the value

DO YOU BUY GOLD PLATED ITEMS?

Sorry, we do not purchase Plated Jewellery.

DO YOU BUY NON-HALLMARKED JEWELLERY?

Yes, we buy without hallmarks. We use an X-ray gun to test the item’s purity.

DO YOU PURCHASE INDIAN JEWELLERY?

Yes! We buy all precious metals from India, Dubai, Africa, China and worldwide.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE ARE PRECIOUS STONES ON MY SCRAP JEWELLERY?

We will reduce the weight and break them out if you want them back.

HOW DO YOU BUY WATCHES MADE OF PRECIOUS METALS?

We reduce the weight for the movement or remove it for you and pay you for the metal weight.

WHAT IS THE BASIC WAY TO TEST GOLD?

The simplest method to test it is to use a magnet. If the magnet picks it up it is not gold.

HOW DO YOU TEST GOLD?

We use a metal analyser gun which tells us the carat of the gold.  We sometimes also use acid to confirm the purity of the gold.

IS THERE A LIMIT TO HOW MUCH I CAN GET ON A BUYBACK?

There is no limit. We do BuyBacks of all amounts depending on the value of the items you bring in
